Season 2016

COACH POPPEN returned to coaching at Calabasas High School at the commencement of the Girls Winter Season 2015 with renewed energy and a solid dedication to his players and our water polo program.

COACH ESSON joined the Coyote Pride as we began the strongly anticipated Boys Fall Season 2016. While new to CHS, Coach Esson is both a seasoned player and coach.  In addition to coaching club in the water polo mecca of Orange County, she was a standout and award winning player at Arizona State University. The Coyotes are excited about the additional expertise and depth Coach Esson brings to our team.

Coach Poppen previously coached the Coyotes from 2007 to 2011.  He also coached two league-championship teams while at Thousand Oaks High School (where he also played water polo back in the day), and coached another league and CIF champion squad while at Agoura High School.
